Can anyone help me pin down the information on this coin.

At the moment all I have is a vague bracket.

Islamic Silver Persian coin. Abbasi 1642-1646. 17mm, 1.84 gm.

In this case Abbasi is the Shah ruling Persia (Safavid Dynasty) starting in 1642 AD as opposed to the Abbasid Dynasty that ruled Baghdad etc. from 749 to 944 and as a spiritual authority from 946 to 1258 AD.

Abbasi stands for the face value, but the weight doesn't match with it, it's a Shahi here.

​Parimal has correctly identified this ruler as Husayn I. The mint and date do not seem visible on this coin.

​Yes, Abbasi is a weight / denomination equal to 4 shahi. I was incorrect in stating that it was also the name of a ruler; 'Abbas is the name of three of the rulers, not Abbasi.
