What are the two references to which you refer? I don't have a KM#4 but I have high grade examples of the KM#1 and KM#14 (Edward VII & Edward VIII 1/10 penny) and they both measure at 20.2mm. It would seem that the 20.5 may be too far out and it may be best if the Numista catalogue should be standardised at 20mm, similar to some of the other listings.
Just because you can't see it ... doesn't mean it isn't there - Anon.
Hello, I measure my BWA1/10d 1911 and it is also 20,5 mm, btw. it is KM4...
Actually I measured a lot of(about 40 pcs.) 1/10d coins (random years) and they all measure between
20,1 and 20,4 roughly, it also depends on the condition of the coin, I guess.
And, please do not take this personal, but did you use the caliper on the right way?
Yvon
Thought that was going to be the case. So we have verified that KM4 British West Africa is 20. 5 mm in size.
I ask, as I am designing coin albums (Dansco Types) and hole size is a major factor at this moment, still along way off from production but am slowly getting there.
Again thanks for your input and time.
