Hi guys can anybody tell me if these coins are genuine.

1856 emperor napolean 5 franc french gold coin vf.
1945 mexico 2.5 pesos gold proof ms65 +

i know its not easy to tell from looking at photos but im just after opinions, thanks.

I can't tell much of anything from your pictures. But I would suggest you try weighing them; that would be a big help.

its non magnetic and the width is slightly smaller than a british half penny that has a width of 17.14 mm.

Yes very common bullion coin. No reason to suspect counterfeit. As others have already said, the most important evidence is the weight . Get an accurate gram scale and that will tell the true tale.
