50p Aquatic

Hi All,

Need urgent help with this coin. This should be rarest 50p Aquatic with lines over face. I did try to compare with pictures which I did found on internet and I can't see any difference between this coin and original. I need advise from more experienced collectors if this is real coin or some copy or fake.


If is real what should be real price for it?

I say fake - the real circulation coin does not have a frosted portrait.

Furthermore the seller describes it as a version of the coin.

Also I see the seller has already sold a copy 'During past 6 months'
and received Neutral feedback for it. Sold for £22.50 and described as
'2011 AQUATICS OLYMPIC 50P WITH LINES ACROSS FACE (See Details) Rare copy'
so most likely yours is also a copy, just described differently. Presumably.
Would like to hear what other members think.

Furthermore that seller has recently sold
'100 x 2009 Kew Gardens 50p Coin Uncirculated And Collectable IRB COPY'
so has some way of getting hold of copy coins. Again another alarm bell, for me.

Lastly, that seller got £100 last month for an item ...

On the end coin was sold for £241 + £7.5 postage. Crazy
