Hi - I live in the UK, and whilst walking with my daughter we came across the coin as mentioned in the subject title. Has this any rarity, and possible value please?

Hi not sure what those figures and heading titles mean on that link??

would it be worth selling on ebay and what price do you think it would get if any

Ju
Yes - if you just read the link then it will not mean anything. But it is a 'hyperlink' so please click on it, and it will go to a site oftem used on this Forum, where the price (U.S. $) of coins can be seen.
To help, I made two (as the page is long) pictures of what you will see on there. As with the link, you have to click on these pictures to see them properly.  :)

But to answer your question, it says between $1.20 and $4.00 on there. Maybe worth trying eBay.  8)

Hi  yes i followed the link, and read the details....can you advise on what i would get on ebay for this if anything or is it a common coin

Ju
I was adding the last line to my reply, but you beat me to it between time - from $1.20 to $4.00 is what the page says. As eBay is auction, then depends on what the bidders think of it - and do not forget the condition! With your coin having a wildebeest on it might help, as there are collectors of animal coins.  :)

I read it all carefully, and looks like a good listing to me. I would take a picture of the security edge as well, then cut it out of the picture so it made a thin section, and place it vertically between the two pictures. Just to give more information to buyers - talking of which, I see the first bid has now been made. I wonder who that could be.  :°

Here is the type (Indian coin) of picture I mean - a composite of all three parts, with edge in middle ...

Oh, and I think eBay postings (and other adverts - as below) appear on pages, as a way to pay for Numista. So perhaps yours is the only coin like it on there currently, for the system to show it on here?

i would change the picture but would have to pay extra for additional picture now as it has been bidded on by, i wonder who lol..... not sure wheteher the value will go up as started on low bid what do you think???
You could add a line saying picture of edge available by email if requested. And bear it in mind for pictures in future listings. It was only a suggestion to add the edge picture - not sure if it would help. Who knows with eBay - what the seller thinks is a nice coin depends on what buyers think. Perhaps also start listing at 99 pence - the minimum free starting price (for first 100 listings per calendar month).
If you really want to amend picture, then the buyer could withdraw bid until such time as the old picture has been replaced on there.

hi zac, actually im away from home at the moment and coin is at home so cannot take photo of edge detail..

lets how how things progress and maybe add another picture pending on bidding...

ok thanks for your help and will use your site again...i do have a 20p coin undated which i found about 1 year ago but i am keeping hold of that until ebay auctions have gone down and the value creeps up

Ju
OK then - as long as there are no more bidders after the first one, as then it may be tricky to ask them all to withdraw, temporarily. Though you probably mean add another picture, not amend one! To answer your first question 'Has this any rarity' then not really, as you will have seen from the prices on that site. But it is a nice coin. I too have an undated 20 pence - and also wait to see if they go above the £50 the London Mint were offering a while ago. Not that I would sell it.  B)
