This coin weighs 0.9 gram and is about 16mm. It appears to be billon or copper, and appears to have been buried at some time.
I think it is a British merchant's token of about 1670s.
The legend appears to be: ....WALL CAPP MAKER / AT FL_____IDGE

Anyone have information on this? Value?

I think you're right about it being a tradesman token from the time of the Commonwealth of England when there was no low denomination regal coinage around. I have a book for these and will do a search when I am back home tonight.

....WALL CAPP MAKER
is
WILL WALL CAPP MAKER
from a page I found saying >
Fleet Bridge Will Wall CAPP MAKER
[with the design] Merchant Tailors Arms
so that also answers the other side

It's as per ZacUk said.
Akerman 696.
WILL. WALL, CAPP MAKER. The arms of the Merchant Tailors' Company. R. AT FLEET BRIDGE. In the field, W. M. W.
17th century London token.

£5-10 I'd guess, unless you find 2 people willing to duece it out.

That shield on second image has a lion across the top,
with below a tent in centre and a cape either side.
