I've had two bad swap in a roll. Without giving names, be real careful when swapping with swappers from Vietnam and Argentina. Loss in both swaps. Both said they never received mine and I don't think they even sent theirs. The one from Vietnam now has a Warning on his profile page which wasn't there when we started the swap. Just a heads up could be the mail but may not be.
That sucks. However, when swapping with most countries in Asia and South America, you should request and be ready to send out by registered airmail with tracking.
Beyond that, reading reviews and star rating before swapping will give you a fairly good indication of trust worthiness.
In the case of these two swaps, if you found they had a less than 10/10 rating or not enough reviews, then you should not hesitate to ask them to send by tracking and give you the number to check online before you send out. Of course, it’s incumbent on you to send by tracking too in that case
Yeah these things happen sometimes and we have to roll with the punches. As someone who has lived in India as well as Canada, I’ve experienced the perspective from both sides :)
Nice weekend.
After reading your experience, I looked at the collector profile from Vietnam, from which I expect to receive cash.
Yes, he already has a red alert in his profile ( maybe it's the same ..), I prepared for him 30 states coins per pile.
I didn't send him anything, and I was still waiting until now, I believe people a priori-but I am in favor of the general principles of decency, and an elementary approach that minimizes the possibility of bad intention.
The only harm is the loss of confidence, and also the time I spent choosing coins for this ,,collector,,-and believe that I am very generous and at a ridiculous price I wanted to please him.
