National Bicentennial Medal

I have a silver coin for which I am having a hard time locating information. On the front is the 1776 statue of liberty 1976, life liberty and the pursuit of happiness, F Gasparro. On the back is American Revolution Bicentennial, (separated from) We The People, with the 5 point bicentennial star, and the great seal of the US. The edge is smooth. The coin is 1.5 inches. It is not in a plastic case. I have inherited some silver collector coins recently and am totally new to this so any help would be greatly appreciated. Where would I go to find information on the current value and history.
Frank Gasparro was an engraver for the U. S. Mint at one time. He engraver the reverse of the Kennedy half dollar, among many other items, including yours.

Yours is a Philadelphia Mint medal for the Bicentennial. Do not presume that this is silver; it looks like gold. The medals came in several different sizes, but I am unaware of the current values.
