I'm in London, & looking to buy some coins. I have seen the list of where to go in the local coin shop post, but can someone from London or familiar with London tell me which one to go to for cheap coins? I am on a limited traveler budget & looking to maybe buy a coin bag of random coins (preferably non-US) or banknotes for around £15-£20. Any recommendations?
Charing Cross is the best choice for you. You won’t end up spending a bomb there and there are a dozen or so dealer tables to give you enough opportunity to pick up coins/banknotes/small antiques for decent prices. I believe it’s open on Sunday’s in the afternoon-morning; but better check

Thanks. It's open every Saturday from 7 AM to 3 PM. I'll be checking it out this coming Saturday. Should be a good experience.
It was a pretty good market. I didn't have enough time to look through everything but got some nice ones. Also visited Coincraft across from the British Museum. A pretty neat little shop.

Thanks.
I don't know the exact address of either but I can tell you EXACTLY where they are.
Charing Cross Collector's Market: Open every Saturday from 7 AM to 3 PM. It is right across from the Embankment Station. Get off the train at the Embankment Station and follow the signs to "Way out". Once you are at the actual station there's an exit to your left and right. Turn towards Starbucks (I can't remember left or right). And the entrance to the market is right next to Starbucks (the people at Starbucks had no clue where the market was). You'll see the sign.
Coincraft is right across from the British Museum. Open from 10 AM to 5 PM Monday to Friday and Saturday from 10 AM to 2:30 PM. They are closed on Sundays and every second Saturday.
I know this thread was originally for cheap affordable coin places in London but I should like to mention A.H. Baldwin's - they're the polar opposite of cheap but if you visit their London bureau on the Strand you should be able to have a look at (but perhaps not afford) some of their inventory- I was the last time I was in London. Consider it numismatic tourism.

I did put A.H. Baldwin on my list, but after checking out their website and taking into account my limited time and money, it didn't make it to my short list Perhaps next time
