Does anyone have an idea to the value of a Barnsley Mill Penny Token?

Not sure about condition - that one sold on 16 March for £1.76 and £2.50 postage.  :)

I really suspect that the one found by Zac was a real bargain. Unless things have changed dramatically in the eleven years since I left the Sceptred Isle, there is a huge amount of interest in anything connected with Industrial heritage, especially the dark satanic mills of the North.
Non illegitimis carborundum est.  Excellent advice for all coins.

Thanks guys, 20 quid is pushing it though! I like it but not enough, I'll buy the Kreuzer tomorrow (mentioned in the other topic).
Finding it harder to find good bulk buys.

You might find this article interesting, a very well written piece by a clearly talented, not to mention dashingly handsome writer.

That's where I was born, I used that same train line to go to school every day. The station where the train is arriving was a block away from my parents first house. I lived next to my Aunt, my Great Aunt lived directly across a cobbled back street and my Grandparents lived next door to them. My great uncle and godfather lived on the next street. The other house was an attorney's office so we practically owned the entire courtyard. I had over a dozen relatives within a 100 yard radius.

We all hated the place growing up and couldn't wait to get out, but now it's a major tourist destination and the houses are being snapped up by yuppie types.

You can see why I get terribly homesick and nostalgic?

Maybe you could pick up a bargain at the London Coin Fair?! ;)
Just because you can't see it ... doesn't mean it isn't there - Anon.
