Can anyone tell me anything about this? It is 20mm in Diameter and weighs 2 grammes.
It is very rusty but says Carl Schlieper and has an eye on it. A quick google tells me that Carl Schlieper is a German knife manufacturer and the eye is their trade mark.
At first I thought it might be a badge which was fixed to a knife handle, but the other side has a pattern of concentric circles. It is too rusty to get a decent picture.
What i'd like to know is what it was made for or used for?
