Fake Chinese copper?

I'm puzzled. This looks so poorly cast that it makes me think it is a fake. However, why would anyone fake these common coins? Also, since I don't read Chinese, nor am I accustomed to their coins, I would really appreciate any help in identifying the type. And, of course, some input on whether you think this is a replica/fake or not.

Luckily for you the mintmark is nearly intact.

We discussed a similar one 2 weeks ago, that's why I recognized it easily. Then I made a quick search to identify the mintmark.
