1835 Large Cent Counterstamped

Hello All,
I recently acquired a coin that is very cool and interesting. I have tried searching for this counter stamp online and have been unsuccessful. I was thinking maybe I could post on here and someone may have run across or know what this counter stamp is or where it belongs. It looks like a number 7 to me. Thanks for any help in this!

Nice coin. Unless the counterstamp is a symbol, initials or more than 1 letter there is really no way to know who made the counterstamp or why.
