I plan to make a trip to Ukraine in June and will be visiting the cities of Kiev, Lviv, and Odessa. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to look for older coins and/or coin dealers in these cities?
Back when I lived in L'viv (7 years ago), there was a flea market called Vernisazh (Вернісаж) in the city center, very close to the Opera house. There were some guys selling coins there. I have no idea whether this flea market still exists since I haven't been to my city for more than 4 years now.
Regarding the coin shops, I don't recall any at all.
Last time when I visited Kiev (in 2010) there were no coin shops. But their saturday coin fair is one of the biggest in the world, maybe the size of a football field.
