This 2 Reales looks severely bent and seems to have lost some of its edge (not reeded at all, at the least), and I’m wondering what could have happened to it to cause such damage. Maybe someone took some silver off it but that won’t explain its being bent, so I need some opinions. What could have possibly happened to it?
Yes some silver was shaved off. In the old days the first scammers would shave A little bit of metal off coins and melt them down then sell for a profit after they spent the coin. I don’t have a explanation for how it got bent......
