Hi,
I was reading this blog post (https://caraoucoroa.blogosfera.uol.com.br/2019/03/14/brasileiro-cria-app-gratis-com-catalogo-de-mais-de-100-mil-moedas-do-mundo/ - Brazilian creates free app with catalog of more than 100.000 world coins), and I checked the app's site.

And then I opened Numista to check if some example coins on the app are here. The answer is yes for all, but what caught my attention is that photos and data (size, weight, etc) are identical to the ones here.

Some examples:
-https://collectgram.com/#/item/-rupee-qiran-amanullah/afghanistan/coin/5a21335f0c4e8507c0d0fe22 and https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces24796.html
-https://collectgram.com/#/item/tanka-ya-qub-1479-1491-ad-amid-mint/aq-qoyunlu-tribal-federation-of/coin/5a2241be0c4e85225507bf54 and https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces87852.html
-https://collectgram.com/#/item/3-kopecks-15-ribbons/soviet-union-ussr/coin/5a1dda210c4e8523c3304667 and https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces4654.html
-https://collectgram.com/#/item/real-juan-ii-burgos/castile-and-leon-kingdom-of/coin/5a24ba450c4e8522550885b7 and https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces107333.html

Initially I thought "wow, this is like Numista in an app", but now is "wait, is he using Numista database?"
If he got permission, ok, if not... what a shame, as the idea was good.

I leave this to the mods.
Numista should feel flattered!

If there would at least be recognition for all the work being done here ... quod non! Just claiming everything as their own, which is not so nice :(
Just call me Bram

No new swaps for the moment, still too many half-ongoing swaps to clean up!
I think there's a way to check if he's using Numista's database.
There are a few coins that their images are not elsewhere, as their photos are originally mine and I didn't posted them on anywhere else: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces143293.html, https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces140863.html and https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces147212.html.
The "problem" is that the search function is restricted to registered users (or I would have checked this).
Just write anything you want there is no authentification e-mail.
It's nearly a carbon copy and claimed as "our catalog" ... it uses an older data set of our database ... nothing to feel flattered about the same shit or worse than Colnect only in portugese.

Funny thing his web crawler can't handel missing pictures well:

Actually appears a login screen when I click on search.

Yep, it looks like a copy of Numista's catalog, on this one the name is still in english:

What I want to ask is: is there anything the Numista admins can do?
I felt disappointed when I figured that the app's catalog is a copy of Numista catalog.

Thanks, made my test.
None of my coins are there, which proves that his catalog copy is old (as I've added these coins almost a year ago).

I've just sent a PM to Xavier.
We're aware of that and looking at options.

Any news?

Apparently they scan the Numista site regularly. I just found a picture of a coin I recently made only for Numista on their site. I was looking for something else when google image search linked me to it. I don't like they claim copyright for it while at the same time having "Image source Numista" only in the coding of the page and not showing anywhere on their site.

If you want to press charges or something like that, I can transfer the copyright to Numista for the images I have contributed here.
