Hello,
Can somebody tell what me a little more about the coin. I know just what I have written in the subject field.. is it possible to say where it was minted and what year exactly?

Roman Civil Wars AR Denarius. 68-69 AD. FIDES - EXERCITVVM above and below clasped right hands / FIDES PRAETORIANORVM above and below clasped right hands. BMC 121, Cohen 363. You can find it here: http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/sear5/s2084.html

Unfortunately it looks like a fourree to me. The letters are very crude and as far as I can tell it's only silver plated, not pure silver. But I could be wrong and other opinions are welcome.
I collect and deal in ancient Roman coin. In case you're looking for affordable ancient coins or need any help with the coins you already have send me a message.

A fourree is basically a coin made from a base metal core that has been plated with a precious metal to look like its solid metal counterpart. It's not uncommon for ancient coins to be produced this way and a fourree is usually worth less to collectors than a pure silver coin. I can't say for certain if your coin is a fourree or not. It looks like it to me judging from the photos but as I said I can be wrong. I hope other member give their opinion too. :)
