Silver fanam? [solved]

6 posts
Hello,
Judging from the size and overall design it seems to me to be a 17-19th century silver fanam but I couldn’t find it from a search on Numista. Does anyone know what it is? Or where it’s from at least?

diameter: 6mm
thickness: 1mm
weight: 0.37g

Travancore?
Chuckram?

I agree, a Travancore chuckram.

It looks like this one to me:

Also could well be the one listed above - they look very similar
Damn, I had completely forgotten about chuckrams...Wonder what their major difference is, but nice to know it’s likely either of them anyway. Thank you for the help!
