6 posts
I heav this small tipe Yong Zheng coin, seems to be cash or lass,
0.5g, about 15mm, boo-ciowan,
with dots in the between the King-name and the Tong-bao
I looked in the KM catalog for 1701-1800 and couldnt find it.
Is it real??
Thanks

I would say no, looks machine strike. Especially since it has those funky dots.
Not genuine, these pieces are well-known and are purely modern fantasy/copy/charm/souvenir issues.

In addition to the dots in the field, the characters are way to straight to be from a cast Chinese cash coin!

Rijkdom bestaat niet uit het hebben van veel bezittingen, maar in het hebben van weinig behoeften
The dots are added to make it look like a copper cast coin. Before the very last part of the 19th century, casting was the only way to make coins in China. And during Qing Dynasty, no coins in this size were issued.
