Swap

I made a swap with ghani from France starting back on Dec 2 and just got the coins yesterday. They said that family problems and medical problems prevented them from sending them. Fine! So 8 weeks go by and I get the coins. After swapping silver for silver in the swap, I find that the two coins that I requested, 1921 Switzerland 1 Franc and 1962 France 5 Francs, are not them! They switched them for a 1968 Switzerland 1 franc, that is copper-nickel, and a 1970 France 5 francs, again copper nickel. I know sometimes people make mistakes, but this person is just wrong! I have requested the two correct coins from them, but I am not expecting a reply or the two silver coins. I also contacted a referee for the France coins. What else do I do?

​That's not good. I'm no expert but, reporting to Moderators is one option, bad feedback is another.

Sometimes people do make mistakes and it may be the case that you do actually receive the right coins. The member you swapped with is a pretty serious member. 8 years on the site, 260 feedback with a 10/10 rating.

I think send them a calm and simple email explaining that you are very worried and want to know when and how you will receive the correct coins. You will probably get an apology and the right coins, I hope so

And patience will help. I am an avid collector and like to move fast but to most people this is a hobby and understandably takes a 'back seat' when life gets in the way.
