Try Indian princeley state for the first one. Not sure which one. But check out what is on Numista. Welcome. You'll find many people know a lot and are always available. Nice coins.
Image of obverse is Hanuman the hindu monkey God, lettering "Ratlam" in Devanagari script
Image of reverse is upside down - reads "Ek paisa" (one paisa), San (year), 1947 in Nagari
Yes - that is correct. There is now on the page added - 'NOTE: VS1947 date is equivalent to Western 1890 (Gregorian)'. So the Indian Princely States date is 1947 in VS system, and the equivalent (in brackets) is 1890. On that coin page it says the 'Calendar for the given years' is Nepalese.
Quote from there on Nepal page: The era adopted in Nepal is called Bikram Samwat (also spelled as: Bikram Sambat, Vikram Samwat or Vikram Samvat; abbreviated as BS). In order to get a Gregorian date out of the Bikram Samwat date, you should subtract 57 years from the BS date. For example: 2067 BS = (2067 – 57) AD = 2010 AD. This difference takes place because the Bikram Samwat calendar is believed to have been founded by Vikramāditya, a legendary emperor of Ujjain, India, in 57 BC.
So that is what VS means, and also abbreviated to BS era.
