It's only Jan 5th but the contest is already over.

The saddest part isn't the listing but the sexually deprived morons bidding $28 for a dozen junk coins offered by a hawt lug.
Non illegitimis carborundum est.  Excellent advice for all coins.

Except that it's a pretty obvious hoax, just to draw attention to what would otherwise be a mundane lot.

The photo used is that of a porn star:

I'm not sure what kind of a "coin collection" consists of a dozen junk bin coins, as you said yourself- and if that litany of hashtags in the description related to Tariff Man himself and his erotic exploits don't ring any alarm bells, I don't know what would.
appalling. emoticons fail.

A while back, one of my search scripts repeatedly brought up a guy flogging empty nip bottles bought on his air trips. "drank this between zurich and tehran" etc. I know he is still out there, but even he can't be this tackhead.

Still, 19 bids. I think people are bidding for a different reason than the coins...

Yeah, that's my guess too.

What does surprise me is eBay letting the auction run, as it's very strongly implied that the "collection" has been stolen.

Lol Phil. But it does say if you buy 2 you get one for 20% off so I can understand why it is so tempting to a few clueless victims.
