Hello,
While looking up eBay sellers who looked suspicious to me I stumbled upon this list (https://m.facebook.com/fakeancientcoinssellersonebay/posts/450364118762711) and noticed that “denant” and “numis_corner” are there. I saw these sellers on VCoins – as Den of Antiquity and NumisCorner, respectively – and was considering buying a few items from them sometime, so I thought I’d ask for your opinions. Do their items look fake? And have you ever bought from them? On some forums I checked they seemed to have good reputations...if not totally flawless, but still.
I don't know about the other one, but Numiscorner is the former Comptoir des monnaies. They are etremely reliable and I doubt they'd sell any fake coin on purpose. Their prices are too high for the most of their coins in my opinion but buy with confidence on their ebay page. They are also on ma shops, vcoins, delcampe, and have their own site.
I think they put in their list some sellers that have maybe once sold fakes, maybe not on purpose.... All the sellers on This list are not crooks... I once bought a coin to goddess-victoria for instance, it was 200% genuine.

I can confirm this; I've bought from Comptoir des Monnaies dozens of times before, and they have always been extremely helpful, with no problems whatsoever. Pretty good pricing too.
Funny story with CDM. I've once sold a coin to them, they were very professional and really kind. I forgot my ID card () in their shop, and they tried by all means necessary to contact me. I never thanked a person so much. Moreover, I had to pass the border to go back home. When I past it to go to their shop earlier in the morning I've been controlled by the police lol.
Back to the topic, here's a reliable list of sellers of fake ancient coins, made by people with experience, I recommend you this one : http://www.forumfw.com/t219p75-la-liste-noire
It has not been updated since february, so there are probably some new fake sellers on ebay, but you can be sure of one thing : avoid all the sellers in this list.
Thank you, and phew! That’s a relief, thank goodness; well-nigh 1/3 of the coins in my VCoins watchlist are from NumisCorner, I think, and while I agree that some of their coins seem overpriced (but not as much as many other sellers?) some are also pretty reasonable, or less expensive than the same types of coins sold by other sellers, esp. ancient ones. The prices for some of their gold coins aren’t too high either, I believe, considering how much their billion values are. Oh, and the overall quality (not to mention the variety) seems nice, too!
And thanks for the list! The one I referred to the other day was older so it might not have been as helpful/informative...
I notice quite a few of these fake sellers use user names with the word “ancient” in them, by the way, don’t they? I usually steer clear of such sellers and google if they are legit (mostly not) just to check. I heard “ancient_treasures” was alright in spite of their fishy name but I can see this name in my fake sellers list...I wonder which I should trust? Not that I’d buy from them anytime, soon or not, though.
