Digital Coin Album

Is PCGS really the only place that has any kind of digital coin album?

I just want a website where I can upload my collection with pictures, so I can review it, share it, and let people review for swap or buying.

I can't believe that nothing existing to public display my pictures of my raw coins. PCGS won't allow public sharing of non-graded coins.
I have 589 pictures total in five albums on the free 'my coins site' created
in 2012 by a Numista member ...

Maybe something like that is what you are looking for. :)

ucoin.net allows to do it if I remember correctly

It does and thanks you for the recommendation. I wish there were a good place to upload my collection and my pictures. I have a hard time believing that no one wants to display their coins digitally to the public or even select people.
You could use any of the countless image hosting sites/services or put-up/rent a server and upload your collection there for the whole world to see ... many possibilities. :wiz:

That is where I am headed. I just can't believe that solutions do not exist. I want the backbone of a great catalog like Numista, so I can sort and categorize and such easily. If I have my own site I have to create a backbone to just display one coin type or silver coins or a certain country. I want the backend in place, so I can just input my coins (like here) and just add pictures, so I can see what they are while I view the different countries etc. And I would like to see the quality of coins I'm picking in a swap up front.
You won't find this feature on sites without payment plan, if our site would have to house even just a fraction of the collections registered and the pictures will be accessed regularly the server costs could end up in the mid 5 digits range.

I understand and I am fine to make it a premium service.

To avoid that issue I have previously suggested that we add a place for a link to my own hosted picture, so you don't have the bandwidth or storage concerns.

Currently, I place the link in the comments, but you can't click on a link in the comments. You can't even copy the link from certain views like the swap list when you pick coins as the comment comes up in a bubble where you can't select text, but you can copy it from the swap monitor.

Who is the correct person to discuss that with on here?

Probably Xavier or Jarek.

Related; to add my two centesimi on the topic, I think it would be great if each coin page had a "gallery" where people could upload their examples of coins, so we can see more examples and varieties of each type than just the cropped one used at the top.

I know that's not what OP is asking for but I thought this thread is as good a place as any to bring it up. :wiz:
It will surely add a lot of value to this site to add ~500 pieces of 1 eurocent in mostly smartphone quality.
