Hi !
I'd like to know if someone knows the most usual "mistakes" that are made when reproducing a walking liberty half dollar. (Like lettering or something)
I could be wrong but I don't think fake Walking Liberty halves have any particular defining features unique to this type, not shared by modern fakes of other old silver coins.
I'm quite new in coin collection, I don't have a good balance (only kitchen balance), so I just check if it's silver by the sound and ice cube if it's not magnetic ^^

I do not know of any special points for counterfeit Walking Liberty Half Dollars, particularly in grades similar to yours.
1. Check with the magnet;
2. Look at the reeded edge to see if the reeding is straight and consistent;
3. Study the coin to see if it looks like it is made of lead/white metal; and
4. Look to see if it is cast (bubbly surface) rather than struck.
