Anyway, 1880; I have a good old Morgan dollar to post (I've never actually posted this coin before):
1880 O United States 1 Dollar
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces1492.html
I read somewhere that the New Orleans mint (O mintmark) coins were comparatively weakly struck, not sure if this is true or not.
Is it possible that the Ceres used on French coins inspired George Morgan's Liberty like how Roty's Semeuse inspired the Walking Liberty? I know it was modelled off a schoolteacher but the wheat and plants in her headdress seem uncannily similar to Ceres....

1879 Austria-Hungary/Austria 2 Gulden - Franz Joseph I (Silver Wedding Jubilee)
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces33587.html
Franz Joseph's spouse depicted here is Elizabeth "Sisi" of Bavaria, who famously learned Hungarian and became sympathetic for the Hungarian autonomy cause. She was even rumoured to have had a lover in the Hungarian Prime Minister Count Andrássy.

See section 102
edit: I might be wrong about gold coins not being demonetized, but I'm not finding anything saying they were, only that they were illegal to own.

Here is the little brother of the Seated Liberty dollar and half dollar posted earlier:
1872 United States 1/2 Dime
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces17938.html
1872 H Newfoundland 20 Cents - Victoria
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces1304.html
1872 United Kingdom 1 Sovereign - Victoria
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces1526.html
This was only the second year that the "St. George and the Dragon" reverse had been reused (the last time had been in the 1820s under George IV) on British sovereigns.
According to the publication
Royal Sovereign , a Chinese General, Wong Yung Ho, visited the Melbourne mint in 1887 and confirmed that the shield design was preferred by the Indians when trading with the Orient. The Indians feared they would upset the Chinese if they paid for their wares with the St George reverse coin. This was because of the humiliating position of the Chinese national symbol the dragon under the horseman and therefore this reverse design was not generally seen in commerce in Asia. (

I try to avoid posting types other people have already posted, so instead of my Amadeo I 5 pesetas or my PEI cent, here's a Japanese coin for 1871:
4 (1871) Japan 20 Sen - Meiji
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces13999.html
This is a two-year type; the sun design was no longer used after this year.

I know we've seen better Seated Liberty halfs already, but this is all I've got -
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces15174.html
I rather like this one, for its deep blue-violet color.

To go with the Paraguayan 4 centesimos posted in 1870 above; since these two coins were minted on similar planchets:
1869 H Uruguay 4 Centesimos
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces4359.html
Minted at the Heaton Mint in the UK; Uruguay sure has used a lot of mints in the past; Monnaie de Paris, Heaton, one in Vienna, etc....

I see your slabbed Mexican peso, and I raise you one Hong Kong half dollar:
1866 Hong Kong 1/2 Dollar - Victoria
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces4841.html
This coin, alongside the 1 dollar I posted two days ago, were only minted briefly between 1866 and 1868; they were spurned by Chinese merchants who preferred silver in the forms of sycee ingots and the more familiar Spanish/Mexican 8 reales coins to the unfamiliar Hong Kong dollar. After 1868 the colonial administration sold the dies and equipment in the Hong Kong Mint to Japan.
