Our dear Numista colleague, and personal friend o' mine, Matt Yeackle was involved in a quite horrific car wreck along with his wife and young family. Having seen photos of what remains of the vehicle I can only say it's a miracle that everyone survived with nothing more than a few broken bones and cuts. I spoke to him briefly, shortly after the accident, and will keep in touch once things calm down for the family.
Matt's a pretty prolific swapper so if anyone is in negotiations and waiting for a response you may have to be patient for a while. I reckon he's got other things on his mind than coins for the short term.
Get well soon, you big ole bear of a man.
Non illegitimis carborundum est. Excellent advice for all coins.
Make Numismatics Great Again!
Yes I saw the pics too. It looked nasty, but the fact he was checking in with friends on facebook is a good sign. I hope for a speedy recovery for all involved...including the dog.
Matt has always been an upstanding guy and great swap partner. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family for speedy recoveries. I’m glad they have avoided anything worse!
That is terrible news, but thankfully his family are all alive. I will certainly be thinking of him and his family. Matt has always been great to deal with.
Thank You guys for all your thoughts and prayers we are all doing as good as one could expect. Definitely sore and covered in cuts and bruises with a few broken bones but things could have definitely been way worse. I had all my kids in the car with my wife and I even our 7 week old and our dog. Not many people live through a accident where your vehicle flips 7 times. Below are a few pics of our vehicle. Thankfully it wasn't our fault so hopefully insurance will cover most of it but only time will tell.
