though that is a silver coin. Given the age (1895-1898) maybe it
is a forgery of the time (from the poor quality of parts of yours),
and when it was made it was silver coated to pass off as that 20 Qirsh coin.

Thank You Zac, Sudan is a country i never looked in, certainly looks the same, it could be billon, as you can see the coin has been cleaned at some point so difficult to identify the metal, but Sudan is the the country.
Much appreciated for quick reply Cheers !

Thanks. All that was just a thought, but looks pretty close, and diameter is same.

The copper aspect is normal : it's a really low content silver.

They usually look like this one : https://www.vcoins.com/en/stores/harford_coin_company/183/product/sudan__abdullah_ibn_mohammed_20_piastres_ah_1312_yr_12_189495/435067/Default.aspx

However the details are crude on this one and it looks cast so I agree about the forgery.

I agree

Thanks both for input, looking at the examples have to agree it's a likely fake, didn't think it was worth that much to be faked but no point in second guessing the fakers.

Are you thinking it is a contemporary fake?
