Currently I am working on structuring my collection with the improved excel download and the extended possibilities of adding individual coin data. Again, thanks for the changes, they are great support!
This made me think of 2 development possibilities:

First)
Would there be an IT possibility to introduce excel UPload?
More specifically: there are 4 fields, which relate to individual data of a specific coin in my collection, that is:
1) grade
2) purchased value
3) private comment
4) public comment
Significant time could be saved if we could work with this data in the excel, where we have an overall view of the entire collection, similar coins, coins in a series, etc. ... and when the work is completed, simple we could upload the data to appear on Numista at the individual coin. As many similar coins would have the same value, and we have a tendency to give identical comments - depending how each of us utilize those cells.
I believe it would significantly increase efficiency,

Can we add metal, weight and diameter to the excel download?
Besides the obvious benefits for people like me, who likes to work on various statistics and comparisons of my collection, it would also help to improve the catalog. I see further community benefits:
1) If I would see empty fields in my overall excel, this would give me the urge to visit the coin on Numista and complete the data.
2) Every individual can check - and improve - to what extent the statistics on the "my coin" page are accurate. (i.e. total weight, value, metal distribution, grade distribution, etc.)

However, if the site had an API to add coins, then it would be technically possible to write a script for import.

​I do not know the technicalities, but my suggestion limits the import ONLY to those fields, which are individual info for my coins. That way it would not influence the "public view" in any ways.
