A short introduction :)

Hello all.
As this is free discussion, just a short introduction from me.
Hi i am Matthew, from The Netherlands.
I forgot the H in my profile name but if you say Matthew in Dutch is sounds like Mattew :)
I speak both Dutch and English fluently, and some other languages moderately.
My main area of collecting is Great Britain (England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales) up until 1970.
I also collect rare European coins to around 1800.
Sometimes i find nice things in collections, and i'm enjoying the forum part "Coin Identification" for the bits i can't identify, or helping others with what i know.
Nice to meet you all here, have fun collecting!
Kind regards,
Matthew.
(Not yet got round to finding coins to swap but i'll see what i've got that can go to a new home, give me time)
Welcome to Numista!
(even though your profile says you have been here for three and a half months already!) :wiz:
Welcome Matthew. Dutch collectors are in my experience among the nicest people in the world.

It gets lonely living in a State where most collectors salivate over slabbed state quarters but have no interest in 200 year old British coppers. It's always great to hear from another collector of those magnificent pre decimal coins from Great Britain.
Non illegitimis carborundum est.  Excellent advice for all coins.

Yes i've been here for a few months already, but i'm not the "run in and shout hello" type haha, first get to know the site, register coins, explore forum.
Glad i did!

Yes i am fond of the Farthings, Halfpennys and Pennys, i'm also working backwards in date and denomination.
Schoolboy dreams of market stalls and searching for a 1933 penny, and (40+) years later still searching those penny boxes haha
Welkom op de site. Goed te zien dat er meer Nederlanders zijn.

Welcome to the site. Good to see more Dutch people joining to site.
Welcome on Numista, Matthew. :)
Welcome, Matthew! I'm also happy to see more Dutch people on this site. I've moved to the Netherlands a year ago and have a feeling like our hobby is getting less popular in this country, so let's keep that fire burning!
