Advice on French comments only on coin pages [solved]

2 posts
Occasionally when entering my coins I find the Numista page has comments in the year lines that are only in French. Should we do anything to report these to anyone or can we make change requests if we can provide a translation. An example is https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces303.html for Italian 200 lire coins. 1978 has a French comment meaning "Half moon under neck" and 1979 2 varieties "Without signature" and "Bald head". How would these be handled, if at all?

Hi Will,

Whenever I see things like that I always make a translation onto the English side (I also, but less often, I do vice-versa and translate a comment for the French side).

I usually use a standard translation (e.g. BE -> Proof), for most cases.
