Uniface medieval German silvers

7 posts
A friend has these coins, all are uniface silvers. Unfortunately I don't have measurements at this time but they are small. The only way to identify them is the crest but I am not good at identifying the crests. Any help is appreciated. Let me know which coins require better quality photos and I should be able to get some.

First two coins are similar, but the order of the design elements is different. Wheel makes me think of Mainz perhaps?

Nurnberg?

Bavaria? (the two coins look similar but could be different types)

No idea about this one

No idea about these two, they look to be the same design perhaps but may be different

No idea once again

Bremen?

Thank you very much! I have a few more of these that I will post a thread about later.
How is the Mainz pfennig distinguished from this? https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces129917.html. It looks the same to me.

In the first line you posted two coins, the left is the one I gave the link to, the right one yes its the one that is already in the catalogue here https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces129917.html One has three towers above (Arms of the city of cologne, the other has a gothic H)

Looking forward to see the other ones :wiz:
Great coins by the way, I don't see these uniface Schüsselpfennig coins that often even if they where minted in great numbers.

Thanks. However, I feel like I see the three towers at the top on the one on the left, and the shield orientation fits that type. I did add that coin to the catalog thinking it was the three towers type. What is at the top on the Mainz one? There is no note about what is on the top in Krause. Since I added the coin on the right as the picture for the Mainz pfennig I will remove it and either replace it with the one on the left or if I am right about the towers then I will simply remove the image for the coin unless one from an approved source can be found.
