After accepting a swap deal i went to Pakistan post for sending coins to other country but they asked me that it is illegal to send coins, bank notes etc. After that i went to DHL and FEDEX and they both said the same. So my question is that if anyone is from Pakistan or know how to send coins in this manner please reply me.
Basically it's the same almost all over the world, you shouldn't tell them you send coins.

They will give it back to you...
You just put some vague term on the declaration like "hobby supplies"
What? Me Worry

I have ever indicated "gift" on customs declaration and I have had not problems.
I have followed up on the suggestion made by an Indian swapper, because in many Asian countries to send coins is illegal.
The only solution is to be simultaneously evasive and honest on customs declaration. I think that the "most serious consequence" in case of customs inspection is that they will return the coins to the sender.

Hi,
The term "coins" is usually associated with currency, which is prohibited for sending my mail. However, if you write "non-commercial value numismatic items", you'll both tell the truth and avoid the prohibitions. I've been using this term all the time when sending coins worldwide from Israel.
I always put on CN22 "coins for collection" with a little value (10/15€) and it never came back.
I have used "Printed Matter" which technically it is also true. The fact is I'm mailing printed round disks of metal. :-)
Coin enthusiast, always learning
I always put "collectables", if having to add it to a customs label. When I send will Europe, I do not get this problem.
I have not yet lost any package when sending outside of Europe when using "collectables".
I'm just a collector of coins, not a slave to it, unless I am in a coin shop.
For all you banknote collectors. Link to my swap list.

I usually put the customs declaration: GIFT, TOKENS AND MEDALS, COPPER AND CUPRONIKEL. And I have never had problems.
In the value section of the package, I put as maximum 12 €, more or less 15USD
Hello,

I'm from and live in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Central America.

I can't exchange coins because in Honduras they don't allow us to ship them out.

I can't do anything last Saturday I sent some coins to Greece and in order to send them I had to lie and say they were books. I sent them via DHL and paid 70$ and there were more than 40 coins in the package. On the DHL tracking site it says they were received and signed for. However they never arrived in Greece . I lost both the money and the coins and I can't even complain because I lied to the shippers.

Sincerely Miguel

I purchased coins from Pakistan on eBay a few months ago, and they came through just fine. It took about a month, but I got them. I don't remember what the sender put on the label, but I'm sure there is a way.
Demonitized coins are not what they mean, they don’t want people doing illegal transactions with current currency.
The people that work at the post office don’t understand this, but demonized coins are just historical disks. They can’t be used as coins anymore. Mark it as hobby supplies.
Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!

Looking for pre 1783 coins
