Argentina 2 centavos 1892

Hello,

I have mentioned coin (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces2220.html) and I noticed something on it for what I believe is minting damage. Check the lines between letters in DOS and between S and C. Can someone tell me more about it, why do this happen and if this is rare.

Here are some photos:

Also, if you find this photos better than the existing ones on the coin page tell me and I will modify the coin page.

Thanks!

This effect is caused by a faulty die.
After intensive use, it is possible that the die cracks.
Many coins are struck with this die, before it is replaced.
So finding another is possible, even with the very same fault.

Yes, die crack is most likely to be the answer here.

I do believe your coin photos are better than the existing ones, by the way- just be sure to crop them. ;)
Is this ok?
