UK banknotes from wartime found last week under floor in a shop

Thirty bundles each with £1,000 face value were found in Brighton on the south coast.

The Bank of England will still take them in (despite their poor condition),
and several people have already made claims on the £1 and £5 notes.

Thanks for sharing, moldy banknotes are less exciting than finding gold guineas, and the notes weren't exactly the valuable white £5 and above notes, but interesting hoard nonetheless.
