There is a separate KM# for a rare variety of both of these, where BRASIL is spelled as BBASIL. i would like to have those in my collection as well.

​When I first got a hold of those coins I thought they were tokens... the dimensions were so token-like, and the design was simply so cluttered I couldn't imagine it otherwise!

I just passed on the chance to buy some of the bigger, earlier silver George V BWA coins... oh well, they were over priced anyway.

Not rare, but it has such superb lustre that I simply had to include it here. :love:

Krause marks it as "rare", ditto with the Numista page; though with 820.000 mintage I hardly see why....

I have one modern coin from Brunei, but I had really hoped to get one of the 1887 cents before we reached it here.. As a type collector of old coins that one issue is all I need from Brunei.
