Antique Sharp Shooting Medal (Norway!)

I wasn't sure if this would be a fit for the Coin ID forum so I thought I'd try it here in the hopes that one of our Danish members or someone with a good grasp of militaria might be able to shed some more light on it.

It's 22mm and weighs 3.8g and despite passing the ice cube test and being non magnetic I'm not convinced it's silver.

There's not a lot of information to be found online. Pricewise I found two completed sales for $43 and $84. (see links below) The first example could be a reproduction, it looks too good. The second is for a specialised site for militaria but it's not in English. I have been able to work out that it's issued in the period 1886-1910 and they identify it as "real silver".

Can anyone expand on this and most importantly confirm that it's a military issue? Thanks in anticipation.

It's outside of my collecting realm so if anyone would like it please feel free to get in touch.
Non illegitimis carborundum est.  Excellent advice for all coins.

Perhaps asking Norwegian members might be of more use?

The arms seem to be Norwegian (single lion holding axe) rather than Danish (three horizontal lions with hearts), and both of those links have referenced Norway.
You're right, thank you. I'm thinking about breakfast.
