

It's 22mm and weighs 3.8g and despite passing the ice cube test and being non magnetic I'm not convinced it's silver.
There's not a lot of information to be found online. Pricewise I found two completed sales for $43 and $84. (see links below) The first example could be a reproduction, it looks too good. The second is for a specialised site for militaria but it's not in English. I have been able to work out that it's issued in the period 1886-1910 and they identify it as "real silver".

Can anyone expand on this and most importantly confirm that it's a military issue? Thanks in anticipation.
