sorry about that hit enter and there my unfinished post went. Here you can see the copper comeing to the surface. Bad clade

I have about 30-40 of these. The new president dollars what are not even made for circulation ,they can not even keep them in the center

It just seams like they really don't care anymore

Did you order straight from the mint?
If so that is unacceptable.
Terrible standards.

The non-circulation dollars I got from circulation.

Here is another one. I think I have 4 or 5. But there are not even made for circulation . I guess my point is if they can not make good coins for non-circulation. What are they making for circulation. I have found a lot of issues with the newer coins

Yes Ed I think you are right. Half way though the state quarters program you could see in Us nickel are softer metal then was used before. I should say not harden as much. They just look bad in two or years. And now just to show on the quarters.

Too much pressure these days and nonstop (meh) designs, same with USPS. Honestly I haven't been excited by either of them since 1999-2000. It's sad when we compare some of the beautiful stuff that was created at the end of the 19th century to the stuff of today. As an example I can't see people fighting over shield pennies in 100 years like I see over indian/wheat cents.

People fight over wheat and Indian head pennies...?
Unless it's a key date/variant and/or in really pristine condition I can't even imagine that happening.

You can get a common wheat for 10c or less in the US, I doubt a black Friday style event would occur

Ok, makes sense.

Still, it's hard to imagine hotly contested ownership of wheat pennies......
Other than the VDB and '43 copper/44' steel ones perhaps

Its weird, though i guess the "highest bidder effect" factors in, i've seen people go way over in auctions, when the same item can be had cheaply by simply browsing fixed price listings.
