Yes, I like this suggestion, and in particular the existence of lettering or engraved symbols on the edge. While you can search for edge text, it’s difficult to identify coins that have some sort of lettering without knowing the text beforehand.
Thanks!
The tricky thing now is that we use the guideline for edge but we don't apply it.
Let explain me better, I was asked to change Smooth to Plain in a token creation sending me the link to the guideline. But in the meantime the database is full of Smooth edge coins and tokens, so or we apply the rule and that's fine or you don't send me to a optional guideline when I create a new page ;-)
Would be easier, and more consistent if edge type was on a dropdown list, rather than manually entered.
With ‘Description with keywords’ moved to ‘Additional details’.

That's for sure.
I like this idea. I always like exploring different types of coins, and this would be another fun thing to explore.
I also collect the edge letter direction variants, whether the letters face up or down if you look at it from value side of the coin.
Edge types are currently free text. Once edge types are fixed in a drop down list a search will be easily implemented. It was promised for 2023 but pushed aside. https://en.numista.com/forum/topic73033.html#p1120925
