Hello,
I'd just like to know what were your best ever Coinstar or coin roll hunting finds.

I got a US large cent in the middle of a roll of US half dollars.

Cool,
Most silver quarters were taken out when silver shot up.

It’s been a long time since I’ve found anything more than pennies at coin star, but I keep checking...
Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!
Looking for pre 1783 coins

Sadly the oldest coin I've found in a roll is a 1939 Canadian nickel. In Canada, it's extremely rare to find any coins before 1970. We melt down older coins and most of the more valuable coins aren't in circulation. Back when we circulated pennies it's possible to find 50's and 60's more commonly, but we haven't circulated pennies for quite some time now.

Last Saturday, among the usual coppers in a Coinstar tray, I found this -
I'm thinking it could be a George II Farthing 1 Farthing - George II (older bust) - United Kingdom – Numista - the size is correct and it is coin alignment. The monarch is facing the left as is Britannia.
I'm interested what the forum thinks.

Had my best find today - the tray was completely full!
It was mostly quarters, a bicentennial and a couple crossing the Delawares but otherwise nothing of note.
Just regular looking change, not sure why the machine didn't take them.
Total of $24.44 but oddly enough, not a single dime.

Why would someone just leave all that in the return bin?

The machine makes a lot of noise,
so any coins in the reject tray would not be heard falling.
Also it is quite low down and darker down there -
only silver-coloured coins might be seen.

I feel stupid but the first time I used a Coinstar I didn't know there was a reject tray. I had counted my coins before putting them into the machine. I was sure it cheated me out of about $8.50. I can imagine the next one to use it told everyone how much they found.
