How do you tell apart the 1951 and 1955 types of this coin? Krause lists it as one type 1951-1955 with no distinction of dates. Someone suggested the fish eye size to be the difference but I'm not sure that is the case.

fish eye recut is the accepted difference. Though it may only be the later dies used that year.
NOTES
Note: Actually struck in 1951 and 1955. Later strikes of 1955 dates differ in detail because of recut dies.
