Hi just put my French coin collection up for sale on eBay - I am not a expert on coins. I've started at £500 is this about right?

Shouldn't this be in Swap and Trades?
Thanks,
SRL

P.S. Good luck on selling the coins.

That depends on what those French coins are, how many there are, what condition they're in, and half a dozen more factors you did not disclose in your post.
My coins are under timelord if anyone could give me their opinion.

Yes, now moved, thanks.
Also looked on eBay under that user name and could not find any (Macclesfield) sellers ...

where there is a member with that name, but in Russia.
Maybe an eBay link would help.

No - it is not on here. Your collection is not visible (your exchange coins are), and it is your collection you are selling you say, and you said your coins are under timelord name which is assumed to be an eBay 'name' and not Timelord Numista name. :)
But yes, found it now >
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/French-Coin-collection-1848-2001/182997061441
so you need to go to account settings ...
https://en.numista.com/vous/votre_compte.php
and tick Personal options first box 'Allow everyone to view the number of coins and countries in my collection'. Hope that helps. :)

Vastly overpriced unfortunately. I'd try about 80.

That's a bit ridiculous. As you can see on his eBay page, the silver content alone already is almost £200.

Things always go for spot or around that though, so the key is drumming up interest from collectors to try to attract a bit of a bidding war before it hits 200.

I've lowered it to £300. I hear what you're saying but feel it's worth £500 to me. I've added some silver coins taking silver price to £217 meaning a buyer isn't taking such a gamble at £300.
