I thought I would throw it out there that I am looking for low value foreign coins (outside of the US and Canada). I'm not interested in condition - just that the country and year are readable/identifiable. I'm not interested in high value, buying (only swapping), mint, rarity, etc. Just looking for as many new-to-me-countries as possible. Drop me a note here or message to say Hi! Thanks in advance!

You can look at my swap list, I have already some swaps on the road but if you are interested in some of my coins, I can exchange some with a good ratio like 1/2 or even 1/5 in some cases :-)
Welcome to Numista! I have some dealers in my area with bargain bins (aka "treasure boxes") of circulated foreign coins that they sell for six for a dollar. They aren't the scarce high value countries, but I've had great fun digging through the bins. If you want to send me a message about what you are looking for, I bet they'll have plenty of interesting coins. The only catch is that I can't always spend the time that I'd like to on coins, so there may be waiting times here and there.
I haven't bothered with a swap list yet since I usually go pick up what someone wants after they tell me what they are seeking. Do you have a list of countries that you want? Do you collect by location, or date, or any specific designs such as birds, or ships, or whatever?
(For years I only had the coins I gathered from my own travels or whatever acquaintances brought back for me. Now that I finally have a couple of dealers nearby, I have had great fun finding many cheap coins that I wanted. Now that it is getting harder to find ones that I don't have, I get a kick out of helping people who are like the collector I used to be!)
I have this lot, I have it set aside for someone just getting started. About two pounds, nothing special, but mostly all different coins with very few duplicates, $22 plus shipping. Let me know what you think.
Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!
