To Yuán or not to Yuán

Greetings!
I looked at the Chinese catalogue today, and I found out while some name the currency as Yuan, some others name them as Yuán.

Should the accent be put on the A? What do you guys think?

Best regards and (4 days later after the post) happy new year,

From the English Guidelines
The currency should be written as it is usually spelled in English

So it must be Yuan. The Yuán with accent is in Pinyin.
