My daughter is medicine doctor, and she is collecting medicine-related items, like medals, lottery bills, etc.
I would like help on finding medicine-related coins (maybe also medals and tokens), like about hospitals, discoveries, congress, medicine doctors, etc. It is very hard to identify them in catalogs.
Thank you all in advance for your cooperation.

Dr. Mary Edwards Walker: Civil War Surgeon & Medal of Honor Recipient
She was from my home town Oswego Ny and my family was friends of the Walker family.
This is a good book of her history.

Interesting field of collecting.
There are whole books related to this topic.
This field of collecting is usually called "Medicina in nummis".
France made some beautiful silver tokens related to medicine.
If you like coins, medals and tokens with ship motives follow my new instagram account with regular updates @numisnautiker
From time to time I sell some coins on Ebay make sure to follow me @apuking on Ebay.

Egypt has some great coins in this category. Many many banknotes would also fit in this category.

I didn't check it. I have 2 types of second one coin in my collection, but not the first one. And I'm far from adding notgeld to numista catalog yet. I have near 8 000 coins unsorted....

Apothecary weights. They are often thought to be coins. It's a very interesting area to collect and it's supported by quite a bit of specialized literature freely available on the internet.
Non illegitimis carborundum est. Excellent advice for all coins.

She already has a few of them, they are nice, and while we wouldn't figure what they are, was something strange.
