I haven't bothered to keep any, but I've seen plenty of stamped bills like that. As a non-religious person I understand the sentiment, I just don't usually get upset about it enough to stamp my dollar bills.
Oh, I know it is "fake" in the sense it is non-official. But I am interested to know that some people are indeed stamping bills in this way. I've not seen the word "God" overstamped on coins yet.
It is just something they started some time back. And now looked at as part of history. Funny when the US started edge writing , they put In God we Trust on the edge. Oh there was an uproar A godless dollar. The mint had to put back on the front of the coin. To me ,do you want God and money together?
More on a funnier thing. The old note above the cash register. In God we trust, All others cash.
Edit Have seen that more than once really ages me. Cash is going away.

Interesting... I didn't know that. What coins were those? I went to the catalogue but couldn't find any dollar that fits your description.

The golden dollar coins with the presidents. They started in 2007 with "In God We Trust" on the edge, and switched in 2009 to putting it on the obverse.
Ah, thanks! I was not too sure where to look since there are so many commemorative issues of all sorts.
In Canada we had our own outcry when the legend for the first year of George V lacked the DEI GRATIA mention, i.e. the claim that he was king "by the grace of God". This was fixed the following year.
Okay, so what countries do still have religious references on their money?
United States: "In God We Trust"
United Kingdom: "D.G.Reg.F.D." (Queen by the grace of god, defender of the faith)
Canada: "D.G.Regina" (Queen by the grace of god)
Netherlands: "God zij met ons" (God be with us) on the edge of 2 euro
Latvia: "Dievs sveti Latviju" (God bless Latvia) on the edge of 2 euro
South Africa: "Soli deo gloria" (Glory to god alone)
Vanuatu: "Long god yumi stanap" (In god we stand)
plus lots of more-or-less obvious crosses and crescents
As a lifelong atheist-leaning agnostic I don't agree with the presence of references to deities on money.... but it stuns me about how people in the new millennium made a fuss about 'In God We Trust' not being on the face of American coins. When I read your first post I imagined it was about some type 19th century coin like the Godless Florin (1849), but then when I saw the date of 2007, ... just, wow .
I heard Theodore Roosevelt tried to remove 'In God We Trust' during his terms from American coins, but got heavy opposition in return.
