Its from the Central American Republic. I do not know what denomination or year it is but based off the weight and the diameter (and the fact that it is quite worn down) I would assume that it is a worn down 8 Reales coin.
The only problem is that it looks copper, and the coins from that time are all silver. Several other countries like Nicaragua and Costa Rica, which were part of the Central American Republic (CAR), had/have similar reverses and obverses. It could be from one of those, but the legend on the rims is most consistent with that of coins from the CAR.
I also thought that maybe (this happened on another post recently) that the copper version could be a pattern for the 8 Reales?
I defiantly think it is a coin!
