Real medieval coin?

4 posts
Hi, first post, I'm new here. Anyway, long story short, i found a coin when cleaning a foreclosed home up for resell. I was curious about it, and it's authenticity. Can anyone help out? some research led to Tripoli, Count Bohemond VII, somewhere between 1270-1282. Id like to know as much as possible, and how i could validate it. Thanks very much

Hello,

Please check this: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces43879.html

This is an exact match to your coin, check if it correspond totally to yours, look for the dimensions - weight, diameters and such. Try a magnet just in case. On Ebay they aren't cheap - between 90 and 170$ but if I were you, I would definitely check the catalogues for this coin, they are way more reliable as far as the price goes.

Enjoy.

Kind regards,

Stefan
