I just obtained a coin, and after finally finding it in our catalogue, I read some disturbing words. "English Counterfeit"....
I assume the one I purchased is also.... any input?

According to the dutch catalog the real coins weigh approximately 3 g. The contemporary English counterfeits are made with lighter and thinner planchets.

Even though it is considerably worn, it weighs exactly 3g.... I guess that's a good sign. I bought it from a man on a corner in Los Angeles, he was selling crack cocaine, so I figured he stole it, and it was probably real haha... just kidding, I paid 6 USD for it :)
