World War - is this some type of medal?

Hi, I found this in my coin collection, I'm assuming it is a medal? Can anyone identify it and give me an indicated value? Thanks.

 As it was an auction, prices could have been higher or lower. It says it is a Rhodesia medal.

There is another one (also called a Rhodesia medal), which sold for R35.00 though it had an original pin, and was still gold plated (yours I think is the base metal underneath).

I do have some United States coins that I want to exchange, but I haven't had a chance to put them on my Numista Coin Collection yet... still wading through my Southern Rhodesian Collection. I'm not even sure if the USA one's I have will be of interest to you, but I'll let you know once I've got them on.

Hi James. I'm thrilled! I haven't yet swapped or sold anything, so it'll be a good learning curve for me. Not too sure how to go about it. I've decided to focus on my Africa coins, so I put the medal on Bid or buy (the SA version of E-bay). I've had no bids yet, and it ends on Friday, so I'll let you know if it's available. I only put it on as a test (first ever) to learn how the whole selling thing works, but I think I've probably over valued it...
